Eight weeks and counting...

Eight weeks ago from today, we put an offer on a house. When we did that, we never dreamed that in mid-August, we'd still be waiting to hear if our offer was accepted! We thought we'd be packing, cleaning, and preparing to move within a few more weeks. Well... not so. Here we sit. We are learning to be patient - at least that's what we tell ourselves. Is it possible to be anxiously patient? We probably fall in that category! We know that due to some challenges with selling, there is a bank involved in approving the process, and that slows things up. Wherever the process is stuck, we rest well in knowing that God is not surprised by these delays. Easy stuff to write... tough stuff to live.

So, in the meantime, we've been hanging out, enjoying summer, and trying to seize the simple moments of joy. We love going on picnics, walks, eating ice cream and italian ice, drinking good coffee, and admiring the beautiful nature all around us.

Enjoy some pictures of our summer time fun.

We were walking in a park and decided to take some pics by this fence. What we didn't know was there were some strange thorns or something in the grass. We couldn't find any thorns in our feet, but it felt like we had been stung, and our feet were sore for the rest of the evening. Worth the picture? Not sure yet... :)

Enjoying the best night of the week - date night!

This is our "artistic picture." Actually, we just had the camera set wrong, and we cut off the tops of our heads, but our positive spin on the result was art. Art can be anything, right?!

What could be better than a good cup of coffee? What a great way to enjoy a weekend morning!

We have been spending time on picnics in Long's Park. We have been noticing the incredible blue sky. It's looked like this several times when we've been there.

What picnic would be complete without a little chocolate? Canadian chocolate makes it so much better. Thanks for keeping us supplied, Mom!

Enjoy the gift of today!
