We thought we'd be spending tonight in Honduras. Unfortunately, plans changed a bit. We first flew from Baltimore to Miami. After a quick layover, we took off from Miami and expected to arrive in Tegucigalpa around noon. We got about as far as Cuba when they announced that there was aircraft trouble, and we would have to return to Miami. Inital word was that they may fix the aircraft or get us a new plane, but the final decision was to cancel the flight. We're all booked onto a flight for tomorrow. Not too much we can do except enjoy the hotel they gave us! Unfortunately, they kept all the luggage, so we're living off of the small amounts in our carry-on and the complimentary items from the hotel.
The purpose of our trip was to attend a wedding. Well, the wedding is tomorrow... afternoon, I think... so we're not sure what will happen. We might make it in time to hear the vows, or we might catch the end of the party! Either way, we're grateful to be safe, and we're grateful that we still have a week of vacation ahead of us.
Here's hoping that we make it out of the USA tomorrow! :)
